Instagram has added new features to its tools to help brands gain better insights about their community and manage a more effective presence on the platform.

Growth Insights
A new feature is added to the tool that will give marketers a consolidated view of the change in their followers by day or week as well as will show them as to which posts or stories are generating the maximum number of followers. The insights comprise three categories that include Activity, Content, and Audience.
Stories about You
This is a great tool for brands as they can share customer testimonials as well as intensify any influencer activity on their own handle through it. The tool collects those Stories from the Instagram users that have mentioned the brands’ accounts from the past 24 hours and shows a story with those at the top of the Activity tab.
Age Gating
The feature will allow the brands control who can view their content on their Instagram profiles by helping them set up an age limit. Not just that, the brand will also get the option either to set up a global age limit or keep it country-specific if they need to follow the geography-specific policies.
The feature was available before also but was limited to those brands that require an age-appropriate audience, for instance, let’s say you are a brand selling alcoholic beverages, you could set up the age limit previously also. However, the feature now has been rolled out for every brand that wants to put out content according to the age groups.
Flexible Profile Displays
The feature allows marketers to show the customized profile information for brands according to what works best for them. So, now onwards brands will be able to hide contact information and the business-category label on their profile.
Secondary Inbox
The feature is very helpful for those brands that want to sort messages in a way they don’t miss out on important ones. It allows brands to organize their inbox with primary and general tabs and if they want to move the messages between 2 tabs, all they need is a swipe.
